8th Annual Fashions With Flair to Be Held on August 7th
As humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard once said, “Save the child, and you save the nation.” It is in this vein the Clearwater Community Volunteers, a non-profit charitable organization comprised solely of volunteers, will hold the 8th annual Fashions With Flair fundraiser.
Every year, the Clearwater Community Volunteers puts on Winter Wonderland, an annual Holiday charity drive which includes entertainment for children, and the Easter Egg Hunt in Clearwater’s Coachman Park. Fashions With Flair is one of the annual fundraiser that enables these charitable activities to continue. Proceeds from Fashions With Flair will benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & Northern Florida, Suncoast Region, The Children’s Home, Inc. and Winter Wonderland.
Hundreds of items will be auctioned off in a silent auction. Items will include baked goods, celebrity items, gift certificates, art, designer jewelry, a 22 ft. sailboat and a chihuahua, among other things.
But the “fashion” in Fashions With Flair will take place in the form of a fashion show in which prominent ladies in society will model designs from Ambria’s Gallery of Wearable Art.
This year’s models will include:
- Susan Valdes, Hillsborough County School Board Member District 1
- Cat Coats, Pinellas Sheriff Jim Coats wife, who also serves on the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry Board, Girlfriends of Pinellas Co, The Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast and The Pace Center for Girls
