Almost two years ago the world was shocked by footage of the tsunamis and their devastating effect on Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Almost two years ago the world was shocked by footage of the tsunamis and their devastating effect on Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Among the many thousands who came to these lands to provide disaster relief was a team of French Scientologists, who flew to the south eastern region of Pondicherry, India to provide their very special brand of help – that of the Scientology Volunteer Minister.

Trained in the techniques of the Scientology Handbook Volunteer Ministers are especially equipped to help in times of disaster, as they can help people overcome the emotional and spiritual effects of the trauma, which is often far more hard for people to cope with than the physical damage and loss of property they have experienced.

A group of these volunteers decided to make this their life
